The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust (The RNBT) provides urgent financial grants to support serving and former Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel and their dependents, when financial hardship strikes.

How RNBT Urgent Financial Grants Work:

1. Purpose:

Urgent Financial Grants are designed to provide fast, essential financial help in critical situations – such as:

  • Sudden loss of income
  • Urgent housing repairs (e.g. broken boiler in winter)
  • Utility arrears that could lead to disconnection
  • Essential white goods replacement (e.g. fridge or cooker breakdown)
  • Unexpected medical or care needs not covered elsewhere

2. Who Can Apply:

  • Serving and former Royal Navy or Royal Marines personnel
  • Spouses, partners, or dependents of eligible veterans
