Introduction box with text, Leaving a legacy – Legacies are a major tool to enable the RNBT to carry out its much needed work among the needy members of the extended RNBT family. By remembering us in your will, you can be assured that we will put your kind donation to very good use. Making a Will doesn’t have to be a difficult process and, in doing so, you will be ensuring that your wishes regarding your estate are carried out, exactly as you would want them to be, when you are no longer around.

The majority of our supporters who leave us donations in their Wills have some connection with the Royal Navy or Royal Marines and, by being generous in this way, they are able to help other former or serving ratings and RM other ranks who are in need or in times of crisis.

If you have yet to write your Will, or are thinking about revising an existing one, we would be happy to help you with the appropriate wording to leave a legacy.  A Will can help you to protect the interests of your loved ones, as well as furthering the causes about which you feel most deeply.

Just click on the link below and the words for inclusion in a Will can help you to start the process.

If you have already made a Will and would like to include a gift to the Royal Naval Benevolent Trust you can write a Codicil. A codicil is a legal document that adds to or amends the terms of an existing Will. You could therefore leave a gift to the Trust without having to draw up a new Will.

We recommend that you consult a solicitor before making any substantial changes to an existing Will, it may be better to have a new Will drafted to avoid any confusion.  Please do not try to amend your existing Will by writing on it as it may be made invalid.
